2. The SizeReducer service
SizeReducer provides browser-based tools intended to reduce the size of supported images, PDFs, videos, ZIP archives and other files, compare available results and download processed output. Supported formats, limits, codecs, compression methods and features may change as the service and browser capabilities evolve.
3. Your files and ownership
You retain ownership of files you select or process. You confirm that you own those files or have permission to process them. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of a file does not violate copyright, privacy, confidentiality, contractual or other rights.
4. Acceptable use
You must not use SizeReducer to break the law, infringe another person’s rights, attempt unauthorized access, disrupt the website, distribute malicious code, automate abusive traffic, bypass limits, probe security controls or process content that you are not legally allowed to use.
5. Compression results
Compression results vary by source file, codec, browser, device and settings. Lossy compression can change visual or audio quality, metadata, color representation, transparency, animation or compatibility. Some files are already efficiently compressed and may not become smaller.
Keep your original files
Do not delete your only original copy until you have opened and verified the downloaded result. Browser processing can be affected by memory limits, damaged files, unsupported codecs, complex documents or browser restrictions.
6. PDF processing
Different PDF compression levels may use different methods. Stronger visual compression can rebuild pages from rendered images. When that method is used, the appearance of a page is intended to remain recognizable, but searchable or selectable text, hyperlinks, forms, signatures, annotations, accessibility information and other interactive document features may be flattened or removed. Always verify important PDFs before relying on the compressed copy.
7. Video processing
Video compression depends on codecs available to the browser-side processing engine. A container or extension may be accepted while a particular audio or video codec inside that file is unsupported. Video processing can also require significant device memory and processing time, especially for large or high-resolution files.
8. ZIP and general-file processing
ZIP optimization is lossless with respect to extracted file contents, but archive-level metadata or byte-for-byte structure may change when an archive is rebuilt. Other general files may be wrapped in a ZIP archive when lossless DEFLATE compression produces a smaller result. Highly compressed file formats may remain unchanged if repackaging would increase their size.
9. Third-party software and codecs
SizeReducer may use third-party and open-source libraries to perform browser-side compression, document rendering, archive handling and media conversion. Those components remain subject to their own license terms, notices and technical limitations. Availability of a third-party component does not mean that every possible file format or codec is supported.
10. Availability and changes
We may update, suspend, limit or discontinue any part of SizeReducer without guaranteeing continuous availability. Maintenance, hosting incidents, browser updates, third-party service changes or events outside our control may interrupt access or processing.
11. Intellectual property
The SizeReducer name, website design, text, software, branding and original site materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms do not transfer ownership of the service or grant permission to copy, resell or create a misleadingly similar service using protected SizeReducer materials.
12. No warranties
To the extent permitted by law, SizeReducer is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that every file or codec will be supported, that every file will become smaller, that a particular reduction percentage will be achieved, that every output will be suitable for your purpose or that the website will be error-free.
13. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, SizeReducer and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive losses, or for loss of files, data, revenue, business or opportunity arising from use of or inability to use the service.
14. Indemnity
You agree to be responsible for claims, losses or expenses arising from your unlawful use of the service, your violation of these terms or your infringement of another person’s rights, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
15. Termination or restriction
We may restrict or block access when we reasonably believe a user is abusing the service, creating security risks, violating these terms or causing harm to the website or others.
16. Changes to these terms
We may revise these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The updated date at the top of this page shows the latest revision. Continued use of SizeReducer after revised terms are posted means the updated terms apply to your subsequent use.
